Sarah Bonett's career in Design began in 1999, when she was accepted into the prestigious Fashion Design Studio at East Sydney TAFE, undertaking and completing the Advanced Diploma of Fashion Design. Whilst still at college, she worked with some of Australia's notable fashion designers Morrissey, Colette Dinnigan, and Akira Isogawa, and assisted at fashion PR agency’s in her spare time. Whilst Sarah enjoyed garment construction and producing a design from sketch to final sample, her passion was in bringing the finished garments to life through pictures and creative concepts. During her final year at Fashion College, she volunteered with manyh magazines before beginning an internship at Cosmopolitan magazine. Upon graduation from East Sydney in 2003, Sarah became employed full-time at Cosmopolitan, working there for 8 1/2 years, and working under three different Editors; Mia Freedman, Sarah Wilson and Bronwyn McCahon. She resigned in December 2010 to explore different creative markets and to pursue freelance styling opportunities.  

As a freelance stylist, Sarah has worked on many editorials and advertising briefs photographed by some of Australia’s top photographers. She has had the experience of shooting stories in locations like Biarritz and San Sebastian, LA, Palm Springs, and Fiji, where she secured trip sponsors and fully produced each shoot. The clients she has worked for include L’Oreal, Redken, Crystelle, Maybelline New York, Who magazine, Harpers Bazaar, CLEO, Grazia, Lee Denim, Thomas Sabo, Speedo, Westfield, Austereo, Toyota,  Tony Bianco shoes, Jeanswest, Ipoh, Sunday Life, Van Heusen and Lend Lease. Agencies she has worked with are Collider, Studio Woo, M+C Saatchi, DDB Shop, ThinkGirl, Maud,  HM Communications and Cummings Agency. Her most recent work has involved mainly advertising campaign work, brand catalogues,  product styling and the fusion of interior styling work.

Sarah's decision to move into Interior Design came about after years of interest in residential styling and design, coupled with the ‘right time in life’ for a career merger. She recently graduated from the CATC Design School with a Diploma of Interior Design + decoration.  Sarah is now combining her fashion and styling experience with new interior projects. Her style is relaxed, polished, and minimalist with a preference for honest materials, natural light, understated colour palettes  and hints of texture.

Sarah has a natural ability to work together even the most unlikely colour and textural combinations. She believes in being aware of, but not a slave to International design trends. she belives that function and aesthetics can always work in harmony together, and that in design- anything is possible. Her studies’ in design, coupled with the experience in using products at all ends of the market have made her one of the industry’s most capable Designer / Stylists' with the broadest set of talents.

Sarah is a Mama to two little girls. She currently resides in Sydney with her Husband, Daughters and Maltese x Poodle.
